The Command To Serve Others

“In Serving Others Is Your Success And Prosperity Assured,”
says the Almighty.
Introduction
The key to success and prosperity is service. It is a divine commandment.

  1. Stop Avoiding Others.
Many people avoid others who are less privileged. They prefer to associate with only the rich and important people. They call this practice being wise or being smart. No. It is not. There is no wisdom in this. The practice is nothing but selfishness, and it leads to hell fire.

  2. Stop Avoiding Opportunities To Serve Others.
Majority are fond of avoiding opportunities to serve or help others. If you move towards them, they quickly change location. Should you wish to ask him for some favours, he is ready with convincing but false reasons why he cannot attend to you. Youths find it hard to run errand errands, nowadays. Thereby, they deceive themselves, and prevent their talents from becoming manifest and useful. Again, they hinder their spiritual growth, and at death, they cannot ascend to the brighter regions of heavens.

  3. The Angel And The Son, Who Is Greater?
The Angel or son, who is greater? Many would answer that the son is greater than the Angel. But the truth is that the Angel is greater than the son. The son is just a son. That is good and glorious, indeed. However, the Angel is a son who is busy attending to the needs of the other sons of God.

  4. Girls Are Always Checking Seniority.
When a young person calls a girl, the first thing the girl checks is whether the young person should come to her or she should go to the young person. Soon, she is giving points of correction. And then tells the person, “You should come here.” Does God check for seniority whenever you call on Him, or He simply answers you? He simply answers you, without delay. Do not allow protocol to deny you God's blessings.

  5. Do It Yourself.
The Devil introduced the principle of ‘Do It Yourself’ in order to mislead people. He succeeds because people are ignorant. Therefore, instead of people serving others, at occasions, they are busy serving each himself. When this happens, the joy of the Holy Spirit does not flow into your heart and overflow to others. Also, you loose the blessings you would have received from God. You become useless, at least for a time. The devil rejoices because he knows the he has succeeded in defrauding you. Is it not glorious to serve the sons of a king? You are happy and proud to do so. Now, learn the more excellent service and do it. For there is no service better and greater than serving the Almighty.

  6. House Maids And Sons In The Family.
Foolish enough, in many households, all the domestic services are left for the maids to perform. The sons and daughters are idle throughout the day. By so doing, the sons and daughters deny themselves the blessings of God. They also lack experience necessary to attend to the issues and challenges of life. Spiritually, they remain stagnant and complacent, without knowing it. Because people are spiritually weak, ignorant and undeveloped, they are easily manipulated by the evil spirits, mermaids, demons, ghosts and black energies.

  7. How The Servant Is Richer Than The Master
The man and his wife prefer to stay in the seats. From there they keep on issuing orders to the house boys and house maids: do this, do that, come here and go there. Even the children in the family emulate the father and mother by abandoning all domestic cores for the house boys and maids. From early morning to late night, the house boys and maids are busy serving all in the family. They do so without complaining, without receiving due rewards, even without appreciation form the members of the family.
The great secret is that in heavenly records and accounts, the house boys and maids become richer than their masters: the man, the woman and the children. All because it is only the house boys and maids that are everyday busy serving others, according to the divine commandment: In serving others is your prosperity. Therefore, everybody should participate in rendering services wherever necessary.
Similarly at occasions, those who go home with greatest blessings are those who are busy serving others. It is not those who occupy positions of honours. In the case of Mary and Martha, the real problem was that Martha was worrying and complaining. She was too anxious. She does not know how to be actively calm and calmly active. More over, she misplaced the priority: she was more interested in attending to bodily needs than in attending to spiritual needs.

  8. Why Do God Normally Promote And Prosper Servants?
God readily promotes and prospers servants because it is the servants that do what He said. Furthermore, it is the servants that have the necessary knowledge, skill and experience which God can easily build up. Besides, it is the servants that are humble. They are everyday busy rendering selfless services to humanity. Indeed, it is more befitting to attend to the needs of others than to stay idle on a glorious seat. Throughout history, God has not failed to leave good enough examples for us. He did so with Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Samuel, David and Elisha. Now, He is even ready to do more with you.

Become Like The Bright Morning Star
Become like the sun,
    It gives freely.
    Without complaining.
And
Without asking for reward,
    Without expecting thanks.

It shines alike
unto the ends of the earth,
    without discrimination.
And
it serves the entire world
    without pride.

Even
    without boasting,
    without competition.
And
Without claiming doership
    Without demanding.

It gives its time
    Its energy
    Its light
And
Its self.
    Without being persuaded.

Neither
    Does it get angry
    Nor quarrels.
And
Does not make noise,
    Not even a cry.

Besides,
    God is glorified
    By its services.
And
Jesus is indeed,
    The Bright Morning Star.

I Repeat What Jesus Said Before
Jesus said it, clearly, without mincing words,

24 Then Jesus said to His disciples,
"If anyone desires to come after Me, If you want to become one with the Truth.
let him deny himself, Become selfless.
and take up his cross, seek, find, know and practise the Truth,
and follow Me. Learn from Me and emulate Me.
25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, Whoever is selfish has lost all things.
but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. The selfless gains all things.
26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, If he is selfish and worldly,
and loses his own soul? and is cast into the hell fire.
Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? Nothing. No one can pay for his life.
27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, Certainly.
and then He will reward each according to his works. Reward good to the selfless ones, and bad to the selfish ones.
Matthew 16:24-27

All these things listed below are good.
But, they do not earn you any credit or blessings in heaven.
Become wiser, by engaging more in those activities
that earn you the blessings of God.

You are not doing what God said when:
  1. You shy away from humble services. Instead, everybody wants to be served, to move about in the city in luxury cars.
  2. You hate to serve others, not knowing that you are thereby not doing what God said.
  3. You avoid the opportunities to help others.
  4. You select only those friends that are well-to-do, those that shall not be a burden to them.
  5. You make friends only with the rich and wealthy people, who have connections, so that they can gain so many things from those rich people. They prefer the perishable earthly gains from people to the everlasting and imperishable treasures of God.
  6. You are easily deceived by immediate benefits. Before they engage in activity, they first check whether there is any benefit for them in the exercise. If there is no benefit, they withdraw from participating. That is too bad. You must deny yourself, by serving others, before you can enter the kingdom of heaven.
  7. Even where you accept to help others, you spoil their good works by complaining, cursing, abusing, and murmuring; by being angry or unfriendly.
  8. You prefer to be a master, instead of being a faithful servant. Nowadays, everybody wants to be free, which type of freedom is misleading and unbeneficial. The servant who serves his master or company with faithfulness, commitment and resourcefulness, is far better glorified than the master who sits on a glorious seat only to be served by others.
Encourage All To return o The Path Of Service
The situation is so bad today that youths do not want to serve. They are in a hurry to make money and become rich overnight. The worst is that they do not know that they are going against the spiritual laws of life, which are God’s will in creation. Imagine the unacceptable situation, whereby the servants are frequently giving their masters reasons for absence. The masters stays in the office to perform duties, while the servants are coming in and going out at will and as hey like.
The worst is that the youths are not ready to heed advice. Even when their masters say they should not step out, the youths disobey and go as they like.
The youths like roving about. They are often mobile. They while away their precious time by so doing. They fail to understand that a rolling stone gathers no storm – a person who cannot bend down in serious duty achieves little or nothing.
The situation has so worsened that the youths are no longer to keep to agreement. They make an agreement today. Soon, they are busy proving why the agreement should not continue and they do everything possible against the agreement they have made. Thereby, they neglect and break God’s commandment that a person who has made a vow should fulfill the vow.
